Mi-Scholarship – An Overview

Xiaomi India has announced this ‘Mi Scholarship’ as part of its CSR initiative to support the higher education of students belonging to underprivileged sections of the society. Under this programme, two different types of scholarships are being offered namely –

1. Mi Scholarship for Class 11 and 12 Students

2. Mi Scholarship for Undergraduate Degree Courses

Mi Scholarship – Key Dates

The applications for Mi Scholarship have been announced in the month of October and will continue till December. The last date to apply for Mi Scholarship for the academic year 2020-21 is 31st December 2020.

Mi Scholarship – Eligibility

Any student who wishes to avail benefits under any of the two Mi Scholarships need to fulfil a specific set of eligibility conditions. These conditions majorly depend on your academic qualification and achievement. Please find detailed eligibility criteria for each Mi Scholarship hereunder.

Mi Scholarship for Class 11 and 12 Students

• Indian nationals who are studying in Class 11/12 can apply.
• They must have obtained at least 70% marks in Class 10 board examination.

Mi Scholarship for Undergraduate Degree Courses

• Indian nationals who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree course like BBA, BCA, BCom, etc., can apply.
• They must have obtained at least 70% marks in Class 12 board examination.

The students pursuing studies in Class 11/12 will receive INR 3,800 whereas the students enrolled in undergraduate degree programme will receive INR 5,800 to continue their studies.

Mi Scholarship – Application Process

The application process for Mi Scholarship is simple and easy to comprehend. The students who find themselves eligible can apply for it online through the Buddy4Study portal. Follow the steps given below to make a successful application –

Step 1: Visit the official scholarship page.

Step 2: Read all the details carefully and click on the ‘Apply Now’ button of the respective scholarship.

Step 3: You will be redirected to the application instruction page. Click on the ‘Start Application’ button.

Step 4: Fill in all required details in the scholarship application form.

Step 5: Upload all relevant documents.

Step 6: Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and click on ‘Preview’. Check if all the details filled in by the applicant are correctly showing on the preview screen or not.

Step 7: If all the details in preview are correct, click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.
