About The Program

Inspired by Reliance Founder-Chairman Shri Dhirubhai Ambani's belief that the best way to ensure the nation's progress is to invest in its youth, the company has offered scholarships to deserving students for more than 25 years. 23,000 Indian youth have been helped by Reliance Foundation scholarship programs over the years.

Since 2022-2023, Reliance Foundation has been supporting 5,100 students annually, including 5,000 meritorious undergraduate students from underprivileged sections of society studying any stream of their choice through the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships, and 100 of India's brightest postgraduate students studying eligible subjects in select future ready courses from Engineering, Technology, Energy & Life Sciences through the Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships.

The Reliance Foundation Scholarships will collaborate to create robust, active, and engaged alumni networks, enabling scholars to pursue higher education, become young professionals, and drive India's growth. Their goals are to nurture and empower meritorious students.

Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

The goal of the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships is to help students become successful professionals and realize their dreams. This will help students realize their potential to uplift themselves, their communities, and make a contribution to the socioeconomic development of India in the future. Anyone enrolled in their first year of undergraduate studies in any subject or stream and earning less than INR 15 lakhs per year is eligible to apply. Additionally, the program encourages applications from students with disabilities and girls.

Selected scholars will receive a scholarship of up to INR 2 lakhs over the duration of their degree programme.  In addition to the scholarship grant, the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships will provide scholars an opportunity to be part of a vibrant alumni network and an enabling support system that will create a long-term impact on their lives and career trajectories.

Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships

The goal of the Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships is to help and advance future leaders in India who can think big, green, and digitally for the good of society. Through a competitive selection process, the Reliance Foundation will select and support 100 of India's brightest postgraduate students pursuing select courses in Engineering, Technology, Energy, and Life Sciences through this scholarship.

The Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships will support students with a generous grant and a holistic development programme, including expert interactions, industry exposure and volunteering opportunities, creating a cohort of excellent innovation for social good each year.

Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships 2024-25

Eligibility

• Only students who are enrolled in the first-year of a full-time regular postgraduate degree programme pursuing select future-ready courses in Engineering, Technology, Energy and Life-Sciences.
• Must have secured 550 to 1,000 in the GATE examination 

Or

• Must have scored 7.5 or above in their undergraduate CGPA (or % normalised to CGPA) [If students have not attempted GATE]
• Open for resident Indian citizens.

Benefits

Up to INR 6,00,000 over the duration of the degree programme

• All applicants are required to complete an online aptitude test as part of their application. 
• Once the application is submitted, the applicants will receive a confirmation email that will include the date/time of the online exam. 
• Applicants will receive an email with the final exam unique link and a unique link to perform a practice test one week before the final test. 
• Applications will be considered complete only when you have completed the aptitude test. Scores will be directly sent to Reliance Foundation once the test is submitted. Applicants will not be notified about their scores.
• The Reliance Foundation does not charge any application fees to apply for this scholarship program.

Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships 2024-25

Eligibility

• Be a resident Indian citizen.
• Have passed Class 12 with minimum 60% marks and is attending a regular full-time undergraduate degree programme in India.
• Have household income less than INR 15 lakhs per year (preference given to income less than INR 2.5 lakhs).
• Answer the mandatory Aptitude Test 

The following students are not eligible:

• Students who are in the 2nd year or higher (have started their courses from academic year 2023-24 or before)
• Students pursuing their degree through online, hybrid, remote, distance or any other non-regular modes
• Students who have passed their diploma after Class 10.
• Students pursuing a 2 year undergraduate degree.
• Students who do not complete the mandatory aptitude test or are found cheating during the test.

Benefits

Up to INR 2,00,000 over the duration of the degree programme.

NOTE: Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships will go beyond financial support by providing students with network opportunities through a strong alumni network.

• Applicants will receive an email with a unique link to perform a practice test  one week before the final test. The unique link for the final exam will be sent one day before the aptitude test.
• Applications will be considered complete only when you have completed the aptitude test. Scores will be directly sent to Reliance Foundation once the test is submitted. Applicants will not be notified about their scores.
